The practice
The specialist oral surgery practice was founded by Dr Stephan Girthofer in July 2001 in Bräuhausstraße, right in the centre of Munich, as a referral practice. As such, the practice covers the entire treatment spectrum of outpatient oral and maxillofacial surgery and implantology. In autumn 2004, Dr. Kristina Girthofer joined the practice as a specialist in orthodontics.
We try to optimise our treatment planning so that waiting times are avoided and your stay in our practice is made as pleasant as possible. Your time is as important to us as ours. If you are unable to attend appointments, we ask that you inform us 24 hours in advance so that we can pass this treatment time on to other patients.

We offer locked treatment rooms for both oral surgery and orthodontics. In this way, we guarantee comfortable privacy for children, adolescents and adults.
Security and discretion
Ensuring discretion in a medical practice is part of the duty of confidentiality. The protection of digital patient information is strictly regulated by law, and of course we adhere to the regulations and data protection. In addition, we attach great importance to confidentiality within the practice premises.
We make sure that queries are made discreetly, anamnesis papers are not temporarily stored in the reception or treatment area for other patients to see, and that no third party can listen in on a conversation with a patient.
Our monitors and fax machines are positioned so that the screen or incoming physical mail cannot be seen. In addition, our waiting room is separated from the registration area.

Our hygiene concept
The topic of hygiene has always been a central part of our work. Our hygiene and quality management has been certified annually by TÜV Süd since 2005!
As one of the first practices nationwide, the practice was awarded the “Aktion-sichere-Praxis” seal in June 2020!
